Our ability to bridge leading-edge solutions with legacy systems is pragmatic and proven.
CMA - COMPAREX Migration Architecture
We follow a dual-solution migration strategy in order to fulfil a variety of customer requirements, therefore we are providing two toolsets for migrating data and applications from S/390 and other platforms to Sun/Solaris, AIX, LINUX and Windows 2000.
- The Trans toolset migrates mainly from S/390 CICS/Cobol/Batch to a CICS-like environment. This method is suitable for customers who will keep the CICS/COBOL knowledge and resources but will modernise the application for e-business requirements. The migration path is mainly from S/390 to Sun/Solaris or Windows 2000.
This tool-set is provided in cooperation with Sun Microsystems.
- The G7 toolset can migrate applications from other platforms to a client/server environment. Migration to Sun/Solaris or Windows 2000 is possible from:
- Other UNIX platforms like SINIX, Reliant UNIX, HPUX
- BS2000
- Bull DPS
- Tandem
- ICL
- UNISYS
- OS/390, VM, VSE
This method is suitable for customers who either do not have a CICS environment or will migrate to an environment without any CICS-like knowledge and resources. This tool-set is provided in cooperation with GSE, Germany.
To surpass our clients' expectations, our COMPAREX Migration Solutions are augmented by:
CMC - COMPAREX Migration Center
Providing hardware and software for demonstration, migration, testing and sizing. The migration center allows users to test migrations of data and applications prior to the actual migration at the customer site in order to minimise risk.
CMM - COMPAREX Migration Methodology
Ensuring a stable and reliable migration project encompassing project management tools, migration tools, OS/390, Solaris, AIX, LINUX, Systems Management and other relevant skills.
